Happy Birthday Sylvia

On Sunday, Sylvia turned four years old.  I guess she thinks we are saying “four your old” so she says, “I’m four my old!”

Public School is Lame School

I PROMISE I did not teach my kids that “Public School is Lame School” but somehow I found this written on our backyard wall.  I was surprised (and maybe not so surprised) to find out that my seemingly sweet little Isabel made this chalk sign.

Fish are so fickle. RIP Sushi.  Don’t worry, Luke got over it quickly.  He now has “Cherry” and “Cheese Puff” to console him.

Dresses for Only 5 Dollars!!!

Just a few things going on here…
Luke has brought in trash cans, taken cans out to the recycling bins, scrubbed toilets, vacuumed the carpet, read to his little sister, he even helped bathe his baby sister in order to complete this chart! This chart now completed is his ticket to getting a fish. I know that sounds boring, but a few months ago he saw a fabulous shark looking little catfish and has wanted it for his very own. He has worked so hard and certainly deserves the catfish with a neat little aquarium!

Isabel has had so much fun playing “dress shop.” She loves to pick out clothes and put them on her mannequin (the tomato cage), make signs and sort through accessories. This fun game and Sylvia’s fun game of “packing to go to grandma and grandpa’s” (throwing a lot of toys and junk on her bed) are such fun games for us to clean up afterward!




The other day Sylvia kept telling everyone they were a peach. “Luke, you’re a peach!” Then she said to me, “Mom, you’re PUFFETIC!”

Attention Car Makers!

We had another little field trip to the Natue Exchange at the Springs Preserve.  Luke brought in a hunk of sandstone and a black cricket and got a wind scorpion.

The Girls

With four females in the home, we usually take over, but with the boys gone for a few days we got to fully take over and do everything girly. Went for a ride on the carousel, then a little fun shopping at Claire’s to buy some cheap jewelry. Watched Mulan together one night and after the girls were in bed I watched the romance, North and South (I love the romances where they don’t kiss until they are engaged, or even married…so steamy!)  Friday night the girls were in heaven at a cake decorating birthday party.  On Saturday, Isabel and I got to go with some girlfriends to watch the beautiful ballerina, Rebekah, dance. Our friend Julie bought all of the little girls a pair of Rebekah’s autographed ballet slippers!

The Boys

Joey took Luke and went on a fishing trip in Escalante, Utah with Grandpa Joe!  Hiking, fishing and bug catching.  They had a lot of fun.  Thank you Joe!
