Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge

On the way to Saint George, Utah, we stopped and walked across the Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.

DAM Great view of the Hoover Dam.

The new bridge is great for us who travel through this way.  Before the bridge there was always a lot of tourist traffic at the dam.

Bridge.

Pat Tillman was an American football player who enlisted in the army and was killed by “friendly fire.”

  1. Saw your bridge picture and had to post – Jason and I biked over it last year as part of a bike tour before it opened and were a little disappointed. When you are on the bridge you can’t actually see how pretty it is – it just looks like a road with high walls all around. They probably didn’t want it to be too scenic while you are actually using the bridge otherwise it would cause a traffic jam!
