Buy Original Art From Sabrina

A few people encouraged me to try and sell my art on the Internet so I set up a shop on Etsy. Thanks for everyone’s encouragement.

My shop is here

I’m selling paintings like this one:

  1. Is this a picture of Sylv-Sylv?

I noticed the SLOV signature. I thought you were from Norwegian descent, not Slovakian. … just kidding. I know it’s your initials.

  2. Thanks for your comments “Brother Sledgehammer.” Yes, this IS a picture inspired by Sylvia. The story of this painting is that Circus baby was circus trained before he was toilet trained. As with Sylvia. She has mastered amazing physical feats (climbing on kitchen counters, headstands, etc.) but hasn’t mastered the toilet.

  3. That is true. Sylvia has mastered some incredible feats, and of all the 3-year-olds in our family, she is the one who is most interested in her Uncle Stephen, so she wins brownie points with me for that (although Nick comes in second).

  4. BTW,

Very excellent artwork! I think I have forgotten to tell you how impressive that is.

I hope to get back into my cartooning in my later years…I am a little busy to do this now. I had to get rid of my drawing table to make more room available in the house for the kids.

  5. Thank you so much for the compliment. It means a lot more to me when it is not from my family, because I think they are just being nice.

Being busy was always my excuse and then I came to the realization that even though I think one day I wont be busy, that probably is not true. I decided to make it a priority (even over cleaning…yikes) and I keep my art supplies handy by the kids school stuff so that it is easy for me to at least sketch an idea while they are working on their own things. You should keep a little pad of paper with you (in your office, in your van, by your bed) so that when you have five minutes you can sketch down any ideas/drawings you have!

  6. Love the artwork! I just read through your blog and your home school sounds wonderful. Can you take on a few more students for a couple months? At least until the campout! Seriously though, I’m impressed with all that you do.

    Love, Laurie

  7. I LOVE this picture! I may just have to buy one for my brother (he’s in Cirque du Soleil) or myself. You have such a unique and pleasant style! I’m not an artist whatsoever, so that makes me even more impressed by your talent.
